This open-weave, soap-washed linen is characterized by the use of a thicker thread, resulting in a fabric with a rich texture and remarkable strength. It is our heaviest and coarsest linen, making it an excellent choice for both curtains and upholstery. The robust appearance and flexibility, despite its weight, make this fabric ideal for various applications. However, due to the heavier quality of this fabric, roman blinds and linings are generally discouraged. As the ‘big brother’ of the Manhattan, this fabric has undergone the same careful treatment but distinguishes itself by its heavier weight.
